This website is operated by Ahaidea Corp., 4065 Chesswood Drive,
North York, Ontario M3J 2R8, Canada. In these terms, “we”, “us”
and “the site” mean ahaidea.com and the regional sites we run under it,
such as london.ahaidea.com.
By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not
agree with them, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is
Ahaidea is a community website for Korean speakers in Canada. It carries classified
postings, a business directory, community pages, blogs, videos, event listings and
an online shop. Some parts are free to read without an account; posting, buying and
some other features require one.
2. Your account
- Please give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
- Your account is for you. Do not share your password or let someone else use it.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into it.
- You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
3. What you post
What you write and upload stays yours. By posting it you allow us to store and show
it on the site so that other people can see it, which is the point of posting.
Please do not post anything that:
- breaks the law, or encourages someone else to break it;
- is threatening, harassing, hateful, or aimed at a private person;
- is someone else’s work that you do not have permission to use;
- is a scam, a fake listing, or an advertisement dressed up as something else;
- is the same message posted over and over.
We may remove a posting, or close an account, when something here is broken. Where
we can, we will say why.
4. Business listings and advertising
A business listing describes the business that entered it, not us. We do not check
the claims in listings and adverts, and a listing is not a recommendation. Paid
placements are arranged separately; the terms of a placement are what we agreed
with that business.
5. The shop
Items in the shop are sold by us. Prices are in Canadian dollars and are shown
without tax; sales tax and a delivery charge are added at checkout.
We do not take payment online. Placing an order sends us a request
and gives you an order number. Nothing is charged at that moment. We then contact
you using the details you gave to arrange payment and delivery, and the sale is only
agreed once we have done so.
We may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item turns out to be out
of stock, or a price was shown wrongly. If that happens we will tell you.
6. Messages we send you
We send email about your account and your orders. When you place an order we send a
one-time code by text message to confirm your phone number; your carrier’s
usual message and data rates apply. These are service messages, not advertising.
We will not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to, and you can stop those
at any time.
7. Other people’s sites
The site links out to places we do not run, and embeds video hosted elsewhere. What
happens on those sites is governed by their rules, not ours.
8. Availability
We try to keep the site running and its contents accurate, but we cannot promise it
will always be available, or that everything on it is correct or current. The site
is provided as it is.
9. Limits
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss
arising from your use of the site, from something another user posted, or from a
dealing you have with a business you found here. Nothing in these terms removes a
right you have under Canadian consumer law.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a
change matters to you, we will say so on the site. Carrying on using the site after
a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of
Canada that apply there.
